SARAH PALIN STATEMENT ON SEPTEMBER PPI DATA

“We desperately need a ‘red wave’ in November to halt the radical democrat agenda in its tracks and stop the bleeding.”

Wasilla, Alaska/October 12, 2022 — Today, former Gov. Sarah Palin issued the following statement in response to news that wholesale inflation came in at 8.5% in September, higher than forecast.

“The Producer Price Index came in higher than expected…again. This will undoubtedly lead to higher top-line inflation and even more financial pain for hard working Americans. After almost two years of out-of-control inflation, 46% of Americans rate their personal financial condition as ‘poor’ because their wages simply can’t keep up with the rapid pace of price increases, particularly for essential goods and services like groceries and gasoline.

“This situation was predictable and preventable. Joe Biden’s reckless spending has been the driving force behind runaway inflation all along, and his $500 billion student loan bailout is undoubtedly playing a role in undoing the effects of Federal Reserve interest rate hikes. Now, we’re left with an economy in the throes of recession and sky-high inflation that is reducing the real wages of American workers.

“I said when I entered the race to represent Alaska in Congress that America is at a tipping point, and that hasn’t changed. We desperately need a ‘red wave’ in November to halt the radical democrat agenda in its tracks and stop the bleeding. Then, once Biden leaves office in 2025, we can begin the important work of rebuilding our shattered economy and restoring America’s strength and prestige on the world stage.”
